In February 2003 Leah Cairns starred in the music video "Taking My Life Away" of the Canadian band Default. Default later won a SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers of Canada) Number One Award with the song.

The video clip was filmed in a funky loft underneath the Granville Street Bridge in Vancouver. The band actually came by on the shoot to meet Leah and to say "Hi".
